01.What Are Cookies & Why We Use Them
Cookies are small text files stored directly in your web browser by websites you visit. They allow web applications to maintain state, recognize returning users, preserve security credentials, and measure platform health.
PostReady uses cookies primarily to ensure that you remain reliably signed into your account across page refreshes, browser restarts, and third-party payment checkout redirects (such as Polar). Additionally, we use privacy-focused diagnostic cookies to identify client-side runtime crashes and measure core performance vitals so the application remains ultra-fast and reliable.
02.Categories of Cookies We Deploy
These cookies are strictly required to operate the PostReady platform. They preserve your encrypted authentication session tokens across page refreshes, prevent unauthorized session hijacking, provide CSRF security protection, and preserve your login state when returning from payment checkout.
Legal Basis: GDPR Art. 6(1)(b) Contractual Necessity & Art. 6(1)(f) Legitimate Interests. Cannot be switched off.
Stores an anonymous error session identifier to correlate client-side exceptions, unhandled JavaScript rejections, failed checkout handoffs, and AI API gateway timeouts. This empowers our engineering team to detect and resolve application bugs promptly without recording sensitive personal information.
Legal Basis: GDPR Art. 6(1)(f) Legitimate Interest / Consent.
Collects aggregated, de-identified telemetry on page load speeds, Time to First Byte (TTFB), First Contentful Paint (FCP), and Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS). Helps us benchmark system latency and optimize edge caching throughput across geographic regions.
Legal Basis: GDPR Art. 6(1)(a) Consent.
Stores your cookie consent selections so that the cookie notice is not persistently presented on every page visit. Also mirrors non-sensitive preferences such as dark/light theme and localized interface language.
Legal Basis: ePrivacy Directive compliance.

04.Payment Options & Merchant of Record Cookies
PostReady partners with authorized online resellers and Merchants of Record (such as Polar.sh) to facilitate billing, currency conversion, VAT/sales tax remittances, and fraud prevention:
- Polar (polar.sh): When navigating to the checkout session for a subscription plan, Polar sets transient security and fraud-prevention cookies on the checkout domain to securely complete payment processing in compliance with PCI-DSS standards.
When you finish your payment and are redirected back to PostReady, our persistent auth cookie ensures you are instantly recognized and routed directly to your updated account without requiring you to log in again.
05.How to Manage & Disable Cookies
You have full control over your cookie preferences at all times:
Via Our Preferences Banner: You can adjust your choices at any time using the control at the top of this page or the persistent cookie preferences trigger in the application footer.
Via Browser Settings: Most modern web browsers allow you to view, manage, delete, or block cookies for specific sites. Refer to the official guides for your browser:
Note: Blocking strictly necessary authentication cookies will prevent you from signing in or generating content on PostReady.
